Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI Finals Day 3 Recap
The first match of the day was won by GodLike Esports who were looking to make a solid comeback after a series of bad performances in the last few events. The crowd backed the team as the cheers roared through the arena. While GodLike found their form, Team SouL was seen struggling in the match and faced an early elimination. This severely hampered their efforts and ended up in them dropping out of a top 3 finish.
However, they instantly bounced back and claimed the second map. The last zone ended in a 3v3v1 battle between Entity, Soul, and Numen, with all three teams barely in the zone. Here, Gill took out Troye and gave an opening to Team SouL who capitalized on the chaos and managed to walk away with the win.
In match 3, Blind Esports won the battle with an uphill advantage and eliminated Team SouL in third place. The match was easily in Blind's favor as Entity Gaming, who was in second place went down while out of the zone in a heal battle. With over 19 health kits, Gamlaboy ensured his team got second place.
Match 4 took place on the snowy Vikendi where Gladiators Esports took the much-needed Chicken Dinner. The Destro-led squad was seen struggling on day 2 and this chicken dinner was definitely a confidence booster. The last zone battle was between Blind Esports and Gladiators Esports where the latter capitalized on this opportunity and took the W.
Moving to Erangel for game 5, Revenant Esports, who were once at the top of the points table, faced an early elimination with just two finishes added to their tally. The chicken dinner went to Orange Rock Esports who fought their last fight against Marcos Gaming. Throughout the match, GodLike Esports was seen tussling with SouL and also took out their IGL, Omega.
Match 6 was played on Miramar with slow early fights and 57 people alive by the end of Stage 4. In the midst of intense battles, GodLike Esports' ZGod found the middle of the zone. Despite this early read, OR ESports looked like the top contenders for the Chicken Dinner. Surprisingly, it was Gods Reign who took the chicken dinner and ZGod's early call got GodLike Esports to a third-place finish in the match.
The last and final match of the whole event was won by OR Esports. Revenant Esports started the fragging spree by taking the first finish in the form of Aerobotz Esports, but before they could get the four finish points, the team naded themselves, denying others any additional points.
With this win, Blind Esports has won one of the biggest events of the year and has solidified their place at the top of the scene for late 2023.
