BGIS 2024: Krafton Bans Eight More Teams

BGIS 2024 Round 2 will begin in a short while. Ahead of the competition, Krafton India Esports has announced that eight more teams have been disqualified from the competition for violating the rules set by Krafton. This announcement was made on the official Instagram handle of Krafton India Esports. Before this disqualification, Krafton had banned other teams for cheating and using unfair means to gain an advantage over other teams.

Krafton Releases List Of Disqualified Teams

 

 

Just before Round 2's commencement, Krafton announced a list of teams that have been banned from BGIS 2024 because they violated the rules of conduct set forth by Krafton India Esports. This list includes a lot of underdogs that had played in-game qualifiers to make it to Round One. The list includes: 

 

  • CARBON7
  • ATLETICO MARATHAS
  • VALHALLA ESPORTS
  • EDGE MAVERICKS
  • TEAMBR06
  • TEAM NO SCOPE
  • PEAKY BLINDERS
  • DETONATION GAMING

 

Krafton also gave out the following statement:

 

During a round of our investigations, we have confirmed that INFLAME ESPORTS, INFORM ESPORTS, BLACK BULLS, TEAM XPERT, FLY HIGH, TEAM TEASERS, IPS ESPORTS, NIXE ESPORTS, TEAM FEARLESS FORCE, EXCUSE ESPORTS, CRINGE ESPORTS, FEAR THE WRATH, RUTHLESS ESPORTS have violated BGIS competition rules through use of unauthorized devices and engaging in ringing activities.

 

With this, the points that were awarded to these teams would be redistributed and a new seeding will take place. This new seeding will ensure that the new groups in Round 2 are formed based on these new points. Round 2 will begin on May 9, 2024 and the top seven teams from each group will move to the next round and meet the teams that make it to this round from The Grind. The matches will be streamed live on Krafton India Esports' YouTube channel from 3:15 PM onwards and the fans who wish to witness the challenge can tune onto the platform and cheer for their teams and players.
