Krafton has been teasing the first official event of the year, Battlegrounds India Series (BGIS 2024). Now, after a series of teaser videos, Krafton has officially announced BGIS 2024 Date. The event will start from April 4. While the full details of the 2024 BGMI tournament are not available as of now, players who wish to attend the event should start their grind for the event.

BGIS 2024 Start Date Announced

 

 

In an Instagram post, Krafton has officially announced the tournament's starting date as April 4, 2024. The theme of this year's BGIS 2024 is "Make Waves". The caption of the post shared on Instagram shed more light on what to expect from the event and the caption read:

The tide is rising, and the storm is brewing! We’re thrilled to unveil the logo for the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2024!

 

If the pattern of previous years is taken into consideration then the first stage of BGIS 2024 will be The Grind, in which seasoned teams from BGIS 2023 will be invited and a few top teams from the Grind will qualify for the main event. Another competition would be taking side by side to find fresh BGMI talents, and the players will have to play the in-game qualifiers and then the various stages of the game to make it to the main event, and from there, the top 16 teams will compete in the finals, which is likely to be a LAN event. 

 

Last year, Gladiators Esports, led by Destro won the BGMI tournament and won the lion's share of the Rs. 2 crore prize pool along with a trophy.
