BGIS 2023 Online Qualifiers Round 1 Schedule and Bracket Details

Highlights

  • BGIS online qualifiers were supposed to take place from August 31, 2023, but have been brought forward to August 29, 2023.

  • Teams can now play with their registered fifth or sixth player.

  • All 2048 participating teams will be divided into 128 groups of 16 teams for this stage.

 

Round 1 of BGIS 2023 will officially begin today with teams that have qualified from the in-game qualifiers. Krafton had opened registrations for teams and in-game qualifiers were conducted over the past month. On August 29, the qualified 2048 BGMI teams were notified about the accelerated schedule and the battle to make it to Round 3 and meet the already qualified 32 teams will now begin. Here is the schedule and team distribution for Round 1.

BGIS 2023 Online Qualifiers Round 1 Schedule

 

 

 

The 2048 participating teams will be divided into 128 groups of 16 teams. The top 3 teams from each group will be making it to the next round and an additional 96 best-performing teams will be moving ahead, as well. After Round 1, 384 teams and the selected 96 teams will head on to Round 2 where they will meet the qualified 32 teams from BGIS 2023 The Grind. 

 

 

The qualified teams' interaction with Krafton began on August 26 and the teams that have adhered to all the rules have been selected to move forward. At the lower end of the performance spectrum, teams post an average of 27 finish points with 8 match wins out of the 15 matches that were played.

 

Some rules that need to be followed in the current stage are: 

  • It is compulsory for teams to join with 4 players. An incomplete team will not be considered under any circumstance.  
  • BGMI Teams can now play with their registered fifth or sixth player.
  • Players are supposed to be fully clothed when they play matches, meaning no player will be allowed to remove their clothes once they enter the lobby. 
  • The players should record all of their matches. 

 

The matches will follow the same points system from The Grind: The team that gets the chicken dinner will get 15 points and the team that finishes last will get zero placement points. Additionally, for every finish, each team will get 1 point.
