The 2048 participating teams will be divided into 128 groups of 16 teams. The top 3 teams from each group will be making it to the next round and an additional 96 best-performing teams will be moving ahead, as well. After Round 1, 384 teams and the selected 96 teams will head on to Round 2 where they will meet the qualified 32 teams from BGIS 2023 The Grind.

The qualified teams' interaction with Krafton began on August 26 and the teams that have adhered to all the rules have been selected to move forward. At the lower end of the performance spectrum, teams post an average of 27 finish points with 8 match wins out of the 15 matches that were played.

Some rules that need to be followed in the current stage are:

  • It is compulsory for teams to join with 4 players. An incomplete team will not be considered under any circumstance.
  • BGMI Teams can now play with their registered fifth or sixth player.
  • Players are supposed to be fully clothed when they play matches, meaning no player will be allowed to remove their clothes once they enter the lobby.
  • The players should record all of their matches.

The matches will follow the same points system from The Grind: The team that gets the chicken dinner will get 15 points and the team that finishes last will get zero placement points. Additionally, for every finish, each team will get 1 point.
