Since the beginning of January, VCT Challengers 2024 has been taking place around the world. Having two teams that are already a part of VCT EMEA Kickoff 2024, Turkey is one of the most thrilling regions in the world of competitive Valorant. The first VCT Masters of 2024 is set to take place in Madrid.

What Is The Tournament Format For Valorant Challengers League 2024 Türkiye Birlik: Split 1?

Valorant Challengers League 2024 Türkiye Birlik: Split 1 consists of 10 teams in the group stages. Eight out of the ten teams were invited teams into the league. The last two teams had to qualify through the closed qualifiers that took place between Dec 4 to Dec 10. The Group Stage of this event started on the 20th of January. Below is a list of all the teams that are taking part in Valorant Challengers League 2024 Türkiye Birlik: Split 1.

The format for the group stage of the tournament is single round-robin. Within this, each team will face all other teams once. Each team will be playing a total of nine games and each game will be a best-of-three series. From the group stages, the top six teams will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are in the double-bracket format. All the games leading up to the grand finals will be best-of-three series. The grand finals will be a best-of-five Series.

The top two teams from the group stage will advance to the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Teams in 3rd to 6th place advance to Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. Teams in 7th to 8th place stay for Split 2. Teams placed 9th and 10th will be sent to the relegation phase of the event. An interesting statistic to note is that out of the 52 players in the tournament, 49 of them are of Turkish origin. This results in a 94% Turkish representation within the tournament.

Currently, there is no team in Valorant Challengers League 2024 Türkiye Birlik: Split 1 that has won all of their games. The team on top is none other than Galakticos. Currently, they have a 5-1 record in the group stages. They also have the highest round differential in the tournament which is currently at +41. 

The only game they lost was against the team Papara SuperMassive that currently sits in 3rd position. The match between the two teams ended with a score of 2-0 with map one ending with a score of 13-10 and the second ending with a score of 13-11.

If there is one player to watch from Galakticos it is none other than Yiğit “ip0TT” Karadeniz. He is their primary duelist currently having an ACS of 264.3, an ADR of 170, as well as a first kill per round statistic of 0.24. There are three teams currently who have won four out of their six matches in the group stage. 

These teams are Fire Flux Esports, Papara SuperMassive, and Howl Esports. Papara SuperMassive lost their matches to two teams. These teams are S2G Esports & Regnum Carya Esports who currently sit in the 8th and 9th position in the group stages.

What Are Some Storylines To Watch Out for Valorant Challengers League 2024 Türkiye Birlik: Split 1?

Each team has 3 games left to play. The top 2 teams from the group stage will have a direct spot in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Currently, Galakticos need to win a minimum of 2 matches to secure the first or second spot. Similarly, Fire Flux Esports has to win all their matches to keep their spot in 2nd place. They have already defeated HOWL Esports who have the same win-loss record as them (4-2). They face off against Papara SuperMassive on March 10 which looks to be quite an important match for both teams.

Howl Esports on the other hand have already defeated Fire Flux Esports and have the easiest run to win their 3 matches and make it to the top 2. Fenerbahçe Esports, S2G Esports & Regnum Carya Esports will need to win all their remaining matches to have a chance of making it to the playoff stage. Regnum Carya Esports has the highest probability when compared to the other 3 teams to make it to the top 6 spot.
