To determine the top three teams to represent the nation at the world championship, the Chinese teams will compete in the Champions CN Qualifiers. As the winning region for VCT Masters Tokyo, the final spot has been given to EMEA.

The 2023 edition of Valorant Champions will run from August 6 to 26. This will take place just after the last-chance qualifier events for the international leagues and around two months after VCT Masters Tokyo. The preliminary rounds of the event will be conducted in the Shrine Auditorium and the final rounds will be held at the Kia Forum.

The same guidelines that were used for Masters Tokyo were used to draw the groupings. It's possible that teams from the same region won't be put in the same group; instead, they'll be transferred to the next open spot. The EMEA LCQ #2 team, NAVI, which was put in the same group as another EMEA team, is the only exception.

Each team's Masters performance in comparison to other teams from their region was used to set the seeding pools and regional rankings, with LCQ teams receiving the lowest regional seed.

Four GSL-style groups with two teams in each group that advance to the playoffs will be used in Champions 2023. The single-elimination or double-elimination format for the eight-team playoff stage has not yet been officially announced by Riot.
