What Is The Format For BGIS 2023 The Grind?

Krafton India has announced the starting date of BGIS 2023 The Grind. A total of 256 teams will compete in The Grind with a chance to make it to the BGIS 2023 Finals. The Grind shows the official scrims hosted by Krafton India in the run-up to the India Series. The interesting thing about these is that the 256 teams also include many underdogs, as well. Here's a detailed breakdown of the format.

How Will BGIS 2023 The Grind Play Out?

BGIS 2023 The Grind will take place before the main event, and this five-week-long journey will have eliminations at every stage. While Krafton is yet to release the details about the Grind, the format for the same was leaked and fans are looking forward to what the coming five weeks have in store for them.

 

A total of 256 teams are divided into two groups of 128 teams each. In the first week, the first set of 128 teams will play and 64 out of them would move to the second round in week 3. The second group will follow the same format with the top 64 making it to week 4. 

 

In week 3, the 64 teams will compete against each other, and the top 32 will make it to week 5. Week 4 will follow the same format, and the top 32 teams will fight it out in the fifth week.

 

The fifth week will see the top 64 teams going against each other to win the title, and the lion's share of the Rs. 2 crore prize pool. The schedule of the event is yet to be revealed but leaks suggest that Team GodLike and Team Soul will be playing in the first week.
