Astralis has decided to make a bunch of changes to their Counter-Strike roster. After releasing HUNDEN, rumors cropped up that they are benching one of their core players i.e. Lukas “gla1ve” Rossannder. After a long stint with the organization, seven years to be precie, the Danish professional could be stepping away from the team.
The latest reports suggest that Astralis has finalized the addition of Victor “Staehr” Staehr to the team. They had tried to acquire him from his previous organization, Sprout, multiple times and after months of unsuccessful attempts over the transfer fee, they seem to have finally reached an agreement.
gla1ve To Potentially Step Down From Astralis After 7 Years
After years of competing with Astralis, Gla1ve has set the benchmark for success in competitive CS:GO. While many legends of the sport like NiKo never got even a single Major win, gla1ve has led Astralis to four Major victories and countless other titles. However, the last couple of years haven't been so kind to the Danish IGL with poor results. Benjamin "blameF" Bremer will reportedly take over the in-game-leading role, a decision that fans have been looking forward to. For many, this roster shuffle makes sense as blameF will be bringing in a good amount of experience from his previous organization, Complexity.
Recently Astralis let go of Director of Sports, Kasper Hvid and Head Analyst, Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen from the team. The new Astralis roster looks quite promising and holds a lot of potential to become the next big CS giant internationally. With device performing well and rifler Altekz showcasing good performances at IEM Dallas, hopes for the reimagined Astralis squad are high.
As of now, this is what the rumored Astralis roster looks like:
- Victor “Staehr” Staehr
- Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
- Nicolai "device" Reedtz
- Alexander 'Altekz' Givskov
- Christian "Buzz" Andersen
- Denmark Peter "casle" Ardenskjold (coach)
