Madhya Pradesh To Host State Level BGMI Tournament For Young Athletes

    Recently, Indian Esports has seen massive growth in popularity. Multiple players who are willing to make a career out of competitive gaming have emerged from the country. Tournament organizers, publishers, production staff, and many more have taken a stand for their passion and love of esports.

     

    To celebrate the rise of esports, the Madhya Pradesh Government will be collaborating with BigBang Esports to host a state-level BGMI esports tournament where young athletes between 12 to 17 years of age can compete for the chance to get quality training in a professional esports environment, completely free of charge.

    Madhya Pradesh To Host MP State Junior BGMI Esports Championship

     

    According to the official details, young and aspiring gamers in the country who are aged between 12 and 17 years will have an opportunity to get quality esports education, absolutely free of cost. The scouting will be in the hands of the Department of Sports & Youth Welfare. The top gamers from the process will be joining MP State Esports Academy, an initiative by the Madhya Pradesh state government to nurture the growth of young and budding talents in the country. 

     

    While 80% of the selected candidates will be from Madhya Pradesh, the rest 20% will be from other states to boost the development of esports from the grassroots level. The MP State Junior BGMI Esports Championship will be held between the 1st and 12th of August. The last date of registration is 27th July 2023. 

     

    The selected individuals will have the option to avail of the esports academy program both in online and offline mode. Esports professionals and game publishers are working continuously to avail the best of the best opportunities for Indian athletes to develop India as a future potential esports hub. Investors and other influential parties will keep a close eye on the growth of the country as a gaming hub.

    Team XSpark Wins BMPS 2024, Takes Home Rs 75 Lakh

    On July 29, 2024, the second official event organized by Krafton India Esports came to an end. The tournament lasted three days and saw 16 teams compete in 18 fierce matches with one ultimate champion. The penultimate day etched the story of the now champion team and got 86 points. Team XSpark eventually came out on top of the points table and won the competition.

    Owais-led Numen Forever came second and third on the all-over leaderboard was GodLike Esports. Piggybacking on a slow start on Day 1, XSpark was able to get their hands on the trophy on the final day. 

    Team XSpark Defies All Odds and Wins BMPS 2024

     

    The Adlux International Convention Center in Kochi saw a footfall of over 2,500 fans who came to support their favourite teams. In addition to this, almost 500k fans joined in on the live action, which was being broadcasted on Krafton India Esports' YouTube channel. Talking about the event, Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India said:

     

    After hosting matches across various parts of the country, it was incredible to bring BMPS Finale to Kochi this time. The atmosphere was electric, thanks to all the fans to show their support for their favorite teams. The level of competition was exceptional, with both seasoned professionals and undergod teams giving it their all. Going into the third day, it was anyone’s game, and the fierce battles kept both the players and the audience on edge. At KRAFTON India, we are committed to the growth of Esports in India and are proud to support the incredible talent in the country. We look forward to bring more quality Esports action to the community.

    • GodLike Esports, after almost three years, made it to the last stage of an official event.

    Krafton’s second official event of the year, BMPS 2024 is in its last leg. After grinding for more than a month, 16 out of the original 128 teams have reached Kochi, Kerala to take part in the final battle for the major chunk of Rs 2 crore prize pool. Is your favourite team a part of the final 16.


    Teams like iQOO Soul failed to make it to the final, but GodLike Esports, after almost three years, made it to the last stage of an official event. Fans would also miss the champion of champion from last year, the lineup led by Destro. This lineup also saw a lot of ups and downs, and saw Shogun’s farewell, Spower’s addition and farewell.

    But as things stand right now, the show must go on and the action will begin on September 27, at Kochi’s Adlux International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

    The semi-finals of BMPS 2024 have begun with 24 teams competing for a place in the finals, which will take place in Kochi, Kerala. The teams played six matches in a day and the ones who remain a part of the top 16 will make it to finals. On day 1, TWOB, led by Prince clinched first place with 49 points. In second place was Team XSpark with 38 points and the highest finishes in the game: 27. 

     

    Extremely seasoned teams like team iQOO Soul and Global Esports failed to make it to the semi finals of the Rs 2 crore prize pool competition.

    TWOB Tops Points Table on BMPS 2024 Semifinals Day 1

     

    The first match of the day was won by Reckoning Esports. The squad comprising of young lads was able to get a 22 points chicken dinner. The second match of the day was played in Miramar. It was Medal Esports' lineup that consisted of experienced players that won by game with a 17 points chicken dinner. The third match od the day was won by Team XSpark. The team managed to get a huge 17 finishes chicken dinner, taking their total of a whopping 38 points at the end of the day. Here is what the points table for the first day looks like:

Wingod Esports won the last match of the day and they got a total of 25 points from the match.

    A shocking piece of news is coming from GodLike Esports' camp as their EA FC athlete, Saransh Jain took to X (formerly Twitter) and informed his audience that he has decided to part ways with the organisation. Saransh had joined the organisation in October 2022. Since then, he has represented the organisation in various global competitions. However, because of not receiving his fees for the last six months, the pro player decided to leave the organisation.

    Saransh Jain Leaves GodLike Esports Almost 2 Years After Joining The Organisation

     

     

    In a post on X, Saransh said that he is a free agent for EA FC 25. In addition to that, he also added that if there is an organisation who will be willing to get him onboard as an athlete, they can message or email him. 

     

    Curious about his sudden departure, one of the fans confirmed whether he had left GodLike Esports, to which, he replied "yes." He also added that he hadn't received his dues for over six months, which is why he had to take the decision to leave. 

     

    He also posted the same message on Instagram, and wrote:

    For now, it is unclear where Saransh will go next. It has been a while since he posted on X. For now, it is safe to assume that he is still a free agent and is still looking for a time. In addition to this, GodLike Esports has not reacted to the whole situation, neither have they given out a public statement with regards to Saransh's exit. Normally, GodLike Esports posts a farewell post for their athletes, but this hasn't been the case for Saransh.
