Reports state that The Guard player, Jonah “JonahP” Pulice has moved to free agency. He joined the roster back in December 2021. This comes as a shocker for the fans as they will not be able to see Jonah playing under The Guard label in VCT Americas.
JonahP has played a crucial role in the team’s success in the Americas region. He has been formidable in his initiator role and fans feel that The Guard will be losing one of the strongest pillars of the team. The Guard will be joining the other 10 teams in VCT Americas for the upcoming 2024 and 2025 seasons.

JonahP Enters Free Agency Leaving Behind Ascension Winning Roster
JonahP played with the roster back in 2022 during VCT Masters Reykjavik Stage 1. During his time with the roster, JonahP has always performed to his fullest potential. One of his most memorable moments with The Guard includes his 1v2 outplay on Haven during VCT NA LCQ 2022. The pro was massively impressed yet nonchalant about his play that when asked about his play in a post-match interview, he said he just felt “locked in” at the moment.
Fans referred to Pulice as “The Rock” of The Guard. To see the 2023 NA Ascension winners move forward without their backbone is a big shocker for the community. The Guard will be playing against teams like LOUD, Cloud9, KRU Esports, and NRG. This move from The Guard has perhaps raised a big controversial question about the stacked Tier 2 league of Valorant. The overall consensus is that organisations and teams who qualify for big leagues might entirely restructure their roster for the franchise tournaments. The future remains uncertain, as of now as 100T owner said, we can only wait for things to be better with time.
