Highlights

    Through the years, FIFA esports has grown exponentially and the popularity of the game and the subsequent esport has taken it to Asian Games 2022. Both athletes will be making their way to South Korea for the seeding event, which will take place in the first week of August. From there, the athletes will make their way to Asian Games in Hangzhou.

    The 20-year-old Charanjot describes himself as a huge football fan and has taken his passion for football and gaming to the global stage. He is currently ranked number 1 in the country. Singh, even after being this successful hasn't left his studies behind, and is a full-time college student, as well. 

    Interestingly, this title holder didn't have a console of his own for a long time and borrowed his friend's PC to play. After proving his skills at the EA Road to Russia, his parents gifted him one. The rest is history. He says: 

     

    “It’s come to a point where my mother, who doesn’t watch any of my games, has taken an interest in how I am performing. She asks for regular updates and advises me to focus on honing my skill and this is motivating enough to make me want to bring a medal home.”

     

    Now, even Singh's mother is proud of what he has achieved and says “I'm happy that he is pursuing what he loves because that's what matters the most. But I also make sure that his studies are not impacted, and he himself also does a good job managing both things himself,” she expressed.

    Delhi's Karman Singh is a 20-year-old FIFA Esports player who is looking to represent India at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. Also known as tikkatown, Singh is at rank 2064 in the Elite Division. However, his inclination towards football isn't just limited to the virtual world. With insane pressure on him, Singh is looking to get a podium finish for himself and the country at the Games. 

    When choosing his team, Karman has a special inclination towards Paris Saint-Germain. He says: 

    “PSG boasts the best dribblers in the game, and I enjoy utilizing their skills and abilities to gain an edge on the virtual pitch,”

    After the official season came to an end, the TEC Gauntlet Season 2- BGMI has turned out to be a game-changer for teams who are trying a different roster. After the second day of the semi-finals, groups C and D played their matches but it was MOGO Esports, who remained at the top of the points table with 83 points. Since their groups didn't play yesterday, there is no change in their points or the number of matches they played.

    TEC Gauntlet Season 2- BGMI Semi-Finals Day 2 Points Table

     

     

    On the second day of the semi-finals, Groups C and D played their six matches. The matches were played across Sanhok. Erangel and Miramar. Rival Ape X won the first match of the day, the second one by Team Tamilias. Here is the points table from the day:

    TEC Gauntlet Season 2 BGMI semi-finals have started in full swing. Day 1 saw competition between Groups A and B and MOGO Esports topped the points table with 83 points. These points included three first place finishes, which amounted to 35 points and 48 finishes. Behind them in the points table is Hyderabad Hydras with 56 points and in third place is Team XSpark with 47 points. 

     

    As days pass, and finals near, all the teams will have a lot to prove and only the top 16 teams from all of these groups will make it to the finals. They will be fighting for a prize pool of Rs 10 lakh and bragging rights as the winner of TEC Gauntlet Season 2 BGMI.

    TEC Gauntlet Season 2- BGMI Semi-Finals Day 1 Points Table

     

     

    After six intense matches, the points table has gone live. MOGO Esports, who recently saw the departure of Spower is at the top. Seasoned teams like Orangutan and Team 8bit are in fourth and sixth place, respectively. Here is what the points table looks like:

    On July 29, 2024, the second official event organized by Krafton India Esports came to an end. The tournament lasted three days and saw 16 teams compete in 18 fierce matches with one ultimate champion. The penultimate day etched the story of the now champion team and got 86 points. Team XSpark eventually came out on top of the points table and won the competition.

    Owais-led Numen Forever came second and third on the all-over leaderboard was GodLike Esports. Piggybacking on a slow start on Day 1, XSpark was able to get their hands on the trophy on the final day. 

    Team XSpark Defies All Odds and Wins BMPS 2024

     

    The Adlux International Convention Center in Kochi saw a footfall of over 2,500 fans who came to support their favourite teams. In addition to this, almost 500k fans joined in on the live action, which was being broadcasted on Krafton India Esports' YouTube channel. Talking about the event, Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India said:

     

    After hosting matches across various parts of the country, it was incredible to bring BMPS Finale to Kochi this time. The atmosphere was electric, thanks to all the fans to show their support for their favorite teams. The level of competition was exceptional, with both seasoned professionals and undergod teams giving it their all. Going into the third day, it was anyone’s game, and the fierce battles kept both the players and the audience on edge. At KRAFTON India, we are committed to the growth of Esports in India and are proud to support the incredible talent in the country. We look forward to bring more quality Esports action to the community.

    Krafton’s second official event of the year, BMPS 2024 is in its last leg. After grinding for more than a month, 16 out of the original 128 teams have reached Kochi, Kerala to take part in the final battle for the major chunk of Rs 2 crore prize pool. Is your favourite team a part of the final 16.


    Teams like iQOO Soul failed to make it to the final, but GodLike Esports, after almost three years, made it to the last stage of an official event. Fans would also miss the champion of champion from last year, the lineup led by Destro. This lineup also saw a lot of ups and downs, and saw Shogun’s farewell, Spower’s addition and farewell.

    But as things stand right now, the show must go on and the action will begin on September 27, at Kochi’s Adlux International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

    The semi-finals of BMPS 2024 have begun with 24 teams competing for a place in the finals, which will take place in Kochi, Kerala. The teams played six matches in a day and the ones who remain a part of the top 16 will make it to finals. On day 1, TWOB, led by Prince clinched first place with 49 points. In second place was Team XSpark with 38 points and the highest finishes in the game: 27. 

     

    Extremely seasoned teams like team iQOO Soul and Global Esports failed to make it to the semi finals of the Rs 2 crore prize pool competition.

    TWOB Tops Points Table on BMPS 2024 Semifinals Day 1

     

    The first match of the day was won by Reckoning Esports. The squad comprising of young lads was able to get a 22 points chicken dinner. The second match of the day was played in Miramar. It was Medal Esports' lineup that consisted of experienced players that won by game with a 17 points chicken dinner. The third match od the day was won by Team XSpark. The team managed to get a huge 17 finishes chicken dinner, taking their total of a whopping 38 points at the end of the day. Here is what the points table for the first day looks like:
