Google Maps is great at providing directions to users that will lead them to their destination. But what if the service allows you to book a parking spot when users arrive at the location? This has now become a reality with Google Maps adding SpotHero integration.
Currently, SpotHero, a service that enables users to find and reserve parking spaces online, announced that it has entered into a partnership with Google. The company’s service will now be integrated directly into Google Maps and Search.
This development isn’t new, as SpotHero was soft-launched on Maps and Search back in April of this year. However, what’s new is that this functionality is now available to everyone starting today.

How To Use Google Maps Parking Feature
To use the feature, all users need to do is open one of the two apps and search for parking near their destination. If parking is available, a “Book Online” button will appear. Tapping on the button will send users to the SpotHero website, enabling users to reserve the spot.
Since the process is handled in the app, there’s no need to go back and forth between the app and a browser. It’s imperative to note that users will be able to reserve a spot in advance, with the option to filter by date and time. Users will also be able to search for locations with EV charging, wheelchair accessibility, and so on.
Sadly, the service won’t be available everywhere users go. The company says it currently serves 8,000 locations and 300 cities across the US and Canada. So, if a user is in a smaller city or town, they might be out of luck.

Google To Expand Gemini Live To Over 40 Languages
Gemini Live, Google’s AI chatbot that can talk like a human, is about to expand support for more languages. The company will be pushing support for the gen AI virtual assistant in more than 40 languages in the coming days.
Gemini Live is the company’s take on “free-flowing, natural conversations” in this new generative AI era. Users will be able to use the chatbot to brainstorm on projects, learn new things, or practice for job interviews.
Apart from these features, the tool lets users chat in two languages on the same device, and further expansion of supported languages will also be underway. Multi-language support will also function seamlessly with Gemini integrations for other Google apps and services, like Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and Utilities.
Users will be able to set their preferred languages in the Android app. In the Google app, users need to go to Settings > Google Assistant > Languages and pick their first preference. If they wish to have another language, there’s an option below to “Add a language.”
