Cloud9 has announced the arrival of former Natus Vincere players Denis “electroNic” Sharipov and Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy to their Counter-Strike roster. After weeks of confusion, the rumors about the former NaVi players joining C9 finally turned out to be true.
The new players will be replacing the long-standing players from the Russian-centered roster, Vladislav “Nafany” Gorshkov and Timur “buster” Tulepov. During the mid-season break, NaVi announced their plans of shifting to a more international roster. Soon after they announced the addition of Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, Justinas “jL” Lekavicius, and Mihai “iM” Ivan to the roster.

Cloud9 Sign Former NAVI Duo To Their Counter-Strike Roster
With the new additions, it is safe to assume that electroNic will be taking over the In-Game Leader role which was previously taken care of by Nafany. Known for his exceptional rifling skills, electroNic has successfully left a mark in the competitive world of Counter-Strike. After transitioning to the IGL role at NAVI, electroNic’s performance took a hit but he still secured a 1.10 rating in the past three months, second only to his former teammate, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
Earlier this year, Buster replaced Interz and spent six months with the team. Perfecto will now be taking over Buster’s spot on the team. Although Perfecto underwent role transitions in Natus Vincere, he was able to keep up solid performances by holding a respectable 1.06 rating over the last three months. This roster change is one of the many upcoming changes that the tier 1 scene is yet to experience. With the addition of Perfecto and electroNic, Cloud9 has made a formidable roster that bears immense potential to win titles. Fans are looking forward to their upcoming matches at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups and seeing how the team results pan out.
