Bleed Esports, the team that recently won the VCT Pacific Ascension and a two year ticket to VCT Pacific franchise league, will most likely not be fielding their flex player, Nephh. During the post match interview, the 20-year-old Singaporean revealed that he will be taking a step back from competitive gaming due to his impending Military Service.
Bleed’s coach, Legija, claimed that for now, the future remains uncertain. However, he also stated that if he could, he would most likely retain all the players. With a comprehensive win at VCT Ascension Pacific, a change could be quite detrimental to the squad.

Valorant Star Nephh To Step Down From Bleed To Complete Military Service
Much like Korea, Singapore requires its youth to enlist in the armed forces for at least two years before returning to their professions. Previously, many esports athletes have rendered to National Service and re-integrated themselves to the professional esports environment.
It is worth noting that Singaporean players like Benkai, Styron, ImpressioN (currently Head of Esports at Bleed) had to provide National Service too. While it is possible that Nephh may not return as a professional esports athlete, his performances have been noteworthy enough for Singaporean Valorant fans to hope for a return.
Bleed Esports will be competing in the upcoming VCT Pacific League 2024 Season for the next two years. During their Ascension season, they have shown sheer dominance in the game. However, tier 1 is a different league altogether and it remains to be seen if they can hold their own.
Bleed will have to fight against the likes of DRX, PRX, ZETA and other top Asian teams for a chance at international tournaments. For now, fans are eagerly waiting the upcoming VCT Pacific Last Chance Qualifier which is scheduled to take place from 18th July to 23rd July. Here, the last Pacific team to compete at Champions will be decided.
