Since the Frozen Kingdom mode, BGMI's winter theme of its current 2.9 update, is ending, players are looking forward to the next patch. While Krafton hasn't released any official news about the upcoming big update, the BGMI 3.0 update is expected to arrive in the game by the end of January 2024. BGMI 3.0 will bring new features to the game alongside new theme modes.
While the BGMI 2.9 update was based on winter and Christmas, BGMI 3.0 will feature a new Shadow Force Theme mode alongside celebrations for Valentine's Day with Valentine's fireworks on the spawn island. According to speculation, the BGMI 3.0 update will be released on 28 January 2024. Krafton will host another podcast episode with renowned BGMI creators to share all the features with their fans.

Upcoming BGMI 3.0 Update To Feature New Shadow Force Theme Mode, New Katana, COD Like Gulag Spawn Island And More
Krafton will finally add the highly awaited heal update in BGMI 3.0, where drivers can heal themselves without stopping the vehicle or switching positions. Per the BGMI 3.0 beta, the vehicle player can apply Bandages, Energy Drink, Painkiller and Adrenaline Syringe. While the driver cannot apply First Aid or Medkit, the players will appreciate the ability to boost themselves while driving. Another critical addition in the BGMI 3.0 update is sniper rifles' collateral damage, where an enemy standing behind another player will receive damage if they are in the line of fire.
Regarding the upcoming Shadow Force Theme mode, the 3.0 update will feature a new Katana, damaging the opponents and being used to attack from a distance. Players can clone themselves in the game to fool the enemies or escape from an intense situation by replacing themselves with the clone. Most buildings will be given a metallic finish in the themed mode, and zip lines will be added to travel across buildings. BGMI will bring back the Spiderman-like grapple with the Ninja Hook, which can be used to climb on the buildings and activate gliders to fly across small distances.
In the Shadow Force Theme mode, players can respawn after dying by winning their fight in the new Recall Island. The Recall Island is similar to Call of Duty's Gulag, where players will spawn on the Recall Island and have to fight against an enemy after dying. If they win the fight, they will return to the plane and continue their game.
BGMI 3.0 will bring a new A5 Royale Pass into the game, but fans must wait for the official announcement to know what the new RP offers. BGMI 3.0 update is expected to be out in the last week of January 2024, mostly on 28 January 2024.
