After yet another disappointing season, Alliance has announced the departure of their Position 4 support player Ponlo, from the roster. The decision came in after Alliance’s elimination from DPC Tour III: Division II. The team has been relegated from Division II in the 2024 Western European Dota Pro Circuit.
Alliance, however, still has a chance to make it to The International 2023 or TI12 for short. They will have to face other formidable teams from the region including Nigma Galaxy, Team Secret and more. Alliance will need to reconstruct its team fundamentals and lay a strong foundation to keep its TI hope alive.

Alliance Part Ways With Ponlo & Are Relegated From Div II In DPC 2024
Alliance has been one of the longest-running esports organizations in professional Dota. Naturally, fans are disappointed with how things have turned out for them in the last couple of seasons. The then-professional Dota player and current CEO of Alliance expressed his concerns about the team through Social Media and claimed that this has been their worst season by far.
Further, Jonathan “Loda” Berg said:
“As head of Dota2, I’m just as responsible for our results as the players on our team. While they are responsible for individual games I AM responsible for our poor results the whole past year. I’m just as angry and disappointed at myself and I EXPECT you to blame me for it.”
Ponlo has played for the famous North American team, Quincy Crew, alongside players like Yawar and Quinn. He had a short stint with the Chinese team, Aster Aries. While he give his all during his time at Alliance, the results didn't favor him or the team. Fans are expecting Alliance to regroup and make a strong comeback in the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit WEU Open Qualifiers.
